Coffee Mug Shaker Card

Hello and happy Saturday! It's Jennifer on the blog today to share a fun card I created using the Coffee Mug Mini Shaker Shape! And I'm also going to share the techniques I used!

I began by painting the front cover of my shaker with chalk paint in light pink. I adhered the middle frames together using my Beacon 3-in-1 Adhesive and painted the inside and outside edges.

I then applied embossing ink to the front surface of the outside frame and added glitter pink embossing powder.

I set aside my front cover and applied adhesive to the chipboard base of my shaker. I placed it face down on the B side of the pattern I wanted to use.

I cut away excess paper using my scissors and x-acto knife followed by using my sanding tool to smooth any edges. I then assembled my shaker by adhering the middle two frames and adding my sequins. Next, the acrylic overlay is affixed followed by the chipboard top frame.

For the front of my card I decided to use a portion of the 12×12 Acrylic Sheet.  Here, I cut a 4.5 x 5.5 inch piece in which I used an oversized stamp with black StazOn. It's helpful to only peel the protective frame from the side you are working.

Once my ink was dry, I turned over my acrylic and removed the protective film.  I added alcohol ink in Butterscotch as well as drops of Mixative in Snow Cap.

Here is a close up of my assembled shaker as well as the acrylic background.  I find it helpful to use Beacon to adhere the shaker to my projects.

The collection I used had this cute sentiment that I  thought went perfect with my shaker!  I added a small flower die cut to place under it and popped up the sentiment with foam tape.

On the inside, I adhered some cute pink ledger paper and stamped a sentiment as shown.
