Lovely Acrylic Wave Slimline Album

Hello everyone! It's Jennifer on the blog today to share a mini book I  created using the Acrylic Wave Slimline Album plus a few Clear Scraps goodies!  I  have been wanting to scrapbook my daughter's senior photos from last year for awhile and thought one of the Slimline Albums would be perfect!

I  began by placing drops of yellow alcohol ink along the outside edges of my front cover (after removing the protective film).  I  blended in some select areas but did not worry about full coverage.  I    then added Mixative in Snow Cap.

Once my alcohol ink was dry, I  flipped over my front cover and stamped this wreath image around the edges using StazOn in black.  Again, I  did not worry about it being perfect as I  knew I  would be adding patterned paper to the front of my album.

I  set my  cover aside to work on my shaker which would be the focal point of the front of my book. Using the 3×4 Rectangle Mini Shaker Shape, I  applied patterned paper to the chipboard base with Beacon Adhesive.  I  then cut away excess paper with an x-acto knife and my sanding tool.

Here you can see I  added numbers as well as embellishments from the collection I  used along with sequins.  After adhering the acrylic piece, I  like to secure my shaker by using these clip pins while everything dries.

Next, I  went to work on my Fancy Butterflies Chipboard Embellishment Shapes. I  painted both with white acrylic paint and then used embossing ink with powder

I  adhered my chipboard butterfly to the top left of my shaker as shown using my Beacon 3-in-1 Adhesive. I  also added some paper flowers I  had in my stash.

Here is a close up of my shaker which I  also added a cluster of paper flowers from my stash.

I  covered my pages with 4.5 x 10.75 inch pieces of patterned paper and used 4×6 photos. I  love the longer length of the pages to add journaling or extra embellishments.

Here, I    used two 4×4 photos which I matted onto white cardstock.

For this page, you can see I    used my other Fancy Butterfly Chipboard Embellishment Shape.  I  decided to use a light pink embossing powder to contrast the yellow background.
