Crown Mini Shaker Shape Album

Hello friends! Its Jennifer back on the blog today to share a fun baby themed mini album I created using a few Clear Scraps goodies!  And I'm going to show you the easy techniques I used so you can recreate them on whichever project you select!

I began by using the Mixable Cutie Album which has cascading acrylic and chipboard pages!  For my acrylic pages, I wanted to add a pop of color so I  applied alcohol ink in Honeycomb yellow. I  did not worry about whether I had full coverage as I  knew I'd be adding patterned paper at some point.  For my chipboard pages, I painted the outer 1/3rd  as shown both front and back.

Next, I was ready to focus on my front cover (which is the smallest acrylic page).  For my focal point, I used the Crown Mini Shaker Shape.  I painted the top frame, as well as the inside + outside edges of the two inner chipboard frames.

I covered the chipboard base with patterned paper then used an X-Acto knife and sanding tool to remove excess paper.

Using my Beacon 3-in-1 Adhesive, I affixed the two middle chipboard frames as show and then filled my shaker with chunky glitter.

After removing the protective film from both sides of my acrylic piece, I  adhered it to the shaker  (it is usually best to apply your adhesive to the chipboard and not the acrylic during this step).  Lastly, I daubed the top chipboard frame with embossing ink followed by applying a generous amount of embossing powder.  After removing the excess powder, I set with my heat tool.

Here is the inside of the front cover. I added a cute journaling card plus some smaller embellishments.

The next page is chipboard which I created a pocket with patterned paper and my sewing machine.  The collection I used had a sheet of tag so I thought it would be fun to add a few to the pocket.

For the next acrylic page, my focal point is the Onesie Chipboard Embellishment Shape. I tried to use minimal patterned paper to allow the alcohol ink to show through as well as to center my embellishment.

I  first painted the chipboard using a light pink chalk paint.

Once dry, I  daubed with embossing ink followed by dumping an ample amount of embossing powder   Once I  removed the excess powder, I set with my heat tool. I adhered the Onesie Chipboard using my 3-in-1 Beacon Adhesive.

Here is the backside of the page that was just shown. I tried to "line up" my papers and embellishments as close as possible.  You can see I added some journaling space.

Next is a larger chipboard page.  I've been wanting to do a cascade waterfall for photos/journaling in a min for while After watching some videos on YouTube, I think I figured it out. In hindsight I probably over filled my pages (I  love my layers) but I  think it turned out cute!  I  tied the waterfall off with some yellow seam binding.

And here is the last page which I used the Embroidery Hoop Chipboard Embellishment Shape. I think its a nice splash of pink against the different colors!

For the Embroidery Hoop, I followed the same technique as the Onesie and the top frame of the Crown.  I  painted the chipboard with chalk paint in light pink.

Once my paint was dry, I  daubed the chipboard with embossing ink followed by ample amounts of pink embossing powder.  Lastly heat tool to set
