Hello, it's Kristin here and I am so excited to be sharing another project with you for the Clear Scraps Design Team. Besides 12×12 traditional scrapbooking, I enjoy making mini albums. The Chipboard 6×6 3 Tabbed Album was the perfect mini to use with this adorable paper line to document all things summer.
I used the Mini Shaker Flip Flop on the first page inside the mini. I pulled a few colors of Distress Stain from my stash and tested it on one of the bottom layers of the shaker to see how it looked on the chipboard. I liked how the color, fired brick looked and used that. I used a 6×6 paper pad for this entire album and backed the shaker with a white, teeny, tiny flowered patterned paper. I then made my own shaker mix (orange flowers, yellow and shimmery cupped and assorted flat sequins with some gems). I then glued the acrylic piece to the top layer and set it aside. Next, I glue the other three layers together, added the sequin mix and then attached the top of the shaker. I think it turned out so summery!
On the next page a made a tiny shaker as well with the packaging from that the album came in and backed it with vellum.
I covered all the rest of the chipboard pages with various papers. I chose to cover all the tabs with the same patterned paper. For a fun touch, I wrapped each tab with red baker's twine.
When I am making a mini album or scrapbooking page without photos, I always make sure to write the size of the photos on my photo mat. This way I don't have to measure anything when I go to print or add my photos. I also like to add a bunch of tags in my mini albums.
I'd love to hear what you think of this project, so please feel free to leave a comment below letting me know what you think.
