Clear Scraps Project Post

Hello friends! It's Jennifer here back on the blog today on the first day of October! I'm excited to share a quick and easy card I created for Halloween using some Clear Scraps products!  And I'm going to show you my techniques!  

The star of my card is the Circle  Bats Mini Shaker Shape and will show you how I    assembled my shaker!  I  began by taking patterned paper and adhering it to the chipboard base with my Beacon 3-in-1.  I    cut away excess with my scissors followed by using my sanding tool. 

Next, I    adhered the two middle chipboard frames to the base as shown. I  then added some of the Spooky Shaker Filler to the center.

To adhere my acrylic piece, I  placed my adhesive on the outside rim of the chipboard.  I    find it best to use clips to hold my pieces together as the glue dries.

Next, I  painted the top frame with black acrylic paint. 

I  then added embossing ink and powder to the bats only on the top frame. I  shook off the excess powder and set with my heat tool.

Taking my 12×12 Acrylic Sheet, I  cut out a 4.25 x 5 inch piece for my card.  I  applied black, purple, and orange alcohol inks as shown. I    then added a few drops of mixative in White Cap for contrast. 

Once my card was assembled, I   adhered my shaker again using my Beacon Adhesive.  I  added a cute sticker banner to the top from the collection I  used. 

Here is a peek of the inside of the card!  I  used a 3×4 journaling card as my background which I  used a stamped sentiment as well as some extra stickers.
