Hi there everyone! Laura here with you today!
I've got a great home decor idea for fall and even
great for Thanksgiving decor too!
This project started with the Mason Jar Shiplap Shape Large
and make sure to pop over to the Clear Scraps store HERE to
find all the different shapes they have for all your projects!
You can paint, or stamp or even leave it plain. This time
I used a mixture of distress stains to get the look I liked.
It's the wood grain that shows through amazing? Love.
The top of the jar was painted with gray and black paint.
Then it was brushed with some distress ink to soften
the look. I did this around the edges of the entire jar too.
Next up was the stenciling!
This cool leaf pattern on the bottom was created using the
Clear Scraps 5×9 Leaves Stencil! Love that these are a two
in one stencil! This one was sponged on with orange
acrylic paint. Looks so good against that wood grain!
And the "Grateful Thankful Blessed" is one of the
Clear Scraps XL Script Wood Quotes. These are so
fun to use on any home decor project. You can find
the huge selection of these in the store HERE.
To finish this off, I needed a little something on the top
so Clear Scraps Mini Shaker Maple Leaf to the rescue!
So super simple to use! Just trace and glue a pretty
patterned paper to the back solid piece. Next glue on
the 2 extra layer pieces. The top piece–decorate as you'd
like, I used acrylic paint with a light brushing of distress
ink. The sequins are listed under "shaker filler" in the
Clear Scraps store and these are, of course, the Fall Sequins.
They add the perfect sparkly finishing touch!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
