Hello and happy Friday! It's Jennifer to share a fun Christmas mini book I created using using some of the new Chipboard Embellishment Shapes! Every year, I love making a book just for Christmas memories whether it be a "December Daily" of sorts or just something to jot down favorite traditions! I began with the 5×7 Acrylic Tab Album as my base; a great classic! I lightly painted off white chalk paint around the edges of each page to give it a "snowy" effect.
The "star" of the front of my album is the new Gnome Chipboard Embellishment Shape. I painted the chipboard first with red and black chalk paint. Once my paint was dry, I added embossing ink followed by red embossing powder to to give my gnome some shine. Then using my Beacon Adhesive, I backed patterned paper behind the nose and beard.
For my inside cover, I wanted a space for some journaling. I added the new Bell Bulbs Chipboard Embellishment Shapes at the top (again using paint + embossing powder).
Here, I utilized one of the 4×6 cards from the collection I used as an extra page in my book. I spruced up the tree with coordinating enamel dots as well as added die cut presents at the bottom.
On the back side, I left a slot for a photo or additional journaling.
For my next page, I cut a 3.75 x 12 inch piece of patterned paper. I scored at 6.25 and placed the fold at the top. I adhered the Star Tree Chipboard Embellishment Shape to the front with my Beacon Adhesive.
Here is a close up of what the inside of the page looks like. I added a journaling spot as well as an area for a photo.
I know I'm becoming predictable in my mini albums but I love creating pocket pages! Here, I stitched a pocket using two pieces of patterned paper. I then added tags as well as 3×4 journaling cards. I affixed one of the Two Presents Chipboard Embellishment Shapes.
Here is the partner in the Two Presents Chipboard Embellishment Shapes! I backed this present with patterned paper before adhering to my page.
Here is a close up of the backside of the previous page:
I had found some old silver star overlay paper in my stash and decided to use it as an extra page. I layered fun ephemera around the Tag Holly Chipboard Embellishment Shape as shown.
On the backside, I tried to "mirror" my embellishments using the Tag Mittens Chipboard Embellishment Shapes.
And here is my last page which is reserved for a fun photo!
I covered the back of my album with a great candy cane pattern and added a circle journaling spot to add the date.
