This Is Me Memory-Dex Card Box

Hello!  Its Jennifer here on the blog to share a fabulous new release from Clear Scraps!  Last week the new Memory-Dex DIY Wood Boxes with coordinating Acrylic and Chipboard Cards!  I've been so excited about this product and I  know our team can't wait to show you their projects!  I used the 6 Inch High Box  which I made into a small scrapbook of sorts that is all about me! I  printed out wallet sized photos and documented a little information about myself on each card.

Assembling the box is super easy and goes together like a puzzle.  I recommend using wood glue or something stronger than your usual liquid adhesive.  Once my box was dry, I  painted the inside and outside with black acrylic paint.  There are two dowel rods that go inside your box but I did not insert them correctly (LOL) and had to place them after the fact. So learn from my mistake! Glue your dowel rods in when putting your box together.

Using my Beacon 3-in-1 Adhesive, I adhered patterned paper to the front, sides, and back of my box.  I also added some fun die cuts and embellishments to the front as well.

I mixed and matched my cards using both the acrylic and chipboard!  For my chipboard cards, I simply painted them black and added patterned paper.  Here is the Scallop Chipboard Divider I used as my "front" or cover card.

On my acrylic dividers, I added alcohol ink in Butterscotch to one side to add a fun yellow color. I simply dabbed with an ink applicator and allowed to dry.

This card is the Regular Acrylic Divider where I  placed a photo on the front and journaling on the back.

I like to add envelopes or extra cards to my projects; here is an envelope that I included my current favorite songs that I love to listen to.

For this card, I created a pocket with patterned paper and my sewing machine then added tags with photos.  This Regular Acrylic Divider is all about friends!

Here is a photo of the tags with journaling.

I used the Regular Tab Chipboard Divider to document all about hiking and getting outside!

On the opposite side, I journaled about my love of volunteering! This past summer, I was able to volunteer at Mission of Mercy where dental services are provided for the underserved.

Speaking of dental, I had to create a card all about dental hygiene:  I've been practicing close to 30 years!

I'm also a big lover of the beach!  Give me some sun and sand and I'm a happy lady!

Here, I  used the Scallop Chipboard Divider to talk about my love of running!

I'm not a big drinker but do love a craft beer from time to time.

Of course I  have to mention my biggest baby! Our four year old lab mix Henry!
