Hello friends! It's Jennifer here on the blog today to share one of the brand new releases from Clear Scraps! I love the Shiplap Shapes and the Beehive Shiplap Shape comes in small, medium, and large! This is so cute for home decor especially for spring or summer time!
I began by using yellow acrylic paint thinned out with some water. I wanted my yellow to be a little more muted. I applied my paint to the top and bottom of my Beehive Medium Shiplap Shape.
I set my Shiplap Shape aside to dry while working on my Mini Shaker Shape! The Bee Mini Shaker is the perfect accent to the Beehive! I started by covering the chipboard base with patterned paper using my Beacon 3-in-1 Adhesive. I trimmed away excess paper with scissors and followed up with my x-acto knife and sanding tool.
Next, I painted the top chipboard frame and the edges of the two inside frames with black acrylic paint.
Once I adhered my two inside chipboard frames, I was ready to add some coordinating sequins. Again using my Beacon Adhesive, I adhered the acrylic overlay. I used clips to secure my Mini Shaker while drying.
Using the 4×6 Sunrise Stencil and Crackle Paste, I used a spatula to apply the paste across the top of my Shiplap Shape.
Here is a close up of the end result! It doesn't have to be perfect and you can apply your paste as heavy or light as you prefer. I used a circle punch to add a spot of orange in the center of my "sun".
I adhered my Bee Mini Shaker Shape to the Shiplap using my Beacon Adhesive!
I then added some coordinating tags and accents next to my photo!
