Berry Sweet Shaker Acrylic Layout

Hello Craft Friends!

Dana here! I'm back to share a really fun project! I'm using the newest Clear Scraps mini Shakers Strawberry Click here  to create my acrylic layout. Isn't it the cutest?

The papers I chose are from an older paper collection called The Sweet Life since they match the theme of my layout. Taking my corner punch, I punched out all four corners. See photo:

Set your layout aside for now.

Now remove your shaker pieces from your package. Taking the top shaker piece I applied some light green acrylic paint on the stem and leaves. Then I applied some red acrylic paint to my strawberry. Let dry.  Here's a photo!

Next taking some Martha Stewart Peridot glitter I applied the glitter to the stem/leaves of my strawberry. Then taking some Liquid pearls Ballerina I applied dashes along the sides of my strawberry to resemble seeds. Here's a photo!

Now take your bottom shaker piece and cover with any patterned paper. Using Beacon glue adhere your paper to your shaker base. I recommend using Beacon glue since it works well with chipboard. Taking my x-acto knife I trimmed away any excess paper. Then using my Distress tool I smoothed any rough edges. Here's a photo!

Now glue your two chipboard shaker pieces onto your bottom shaker piece. Add any shaker filler you prefer. I used Clear Scraps Princess sequins Click here  Next peel off the protective film from both sides of your acrylic shaker piece before gluing down. Then glue your top piece in place! Here's a closeup photo!

Now chose some photos for your layout. I chose photos of my granddaughter when we went to the Strawberry farm! She's growing up now. So I think it's important to take photos and preserve our memories.

I arranged  my photos and embellishments before adhering them down onto my layout. On the back of my strawberry shaker I applied some foam tape onto the backside.  This adds dimension which I love. The strawberry sticker on the upper right corner I adhered with foam dots. I took some yellow sticker letters and spelled out the word "BERRY" and adhered on the right side of my layout. To finish I adhered a 12×12 pink paper to the back of my acrylic sheet. I usually use a clear adhesive tape when working with acrylic, but with this layout it doesn't matter since you won't see the backside of your acrylic.

Here's how my layout looks:
