Clear Scraps–Mini Shaker Flag–4th of July Celebration LO

Hi there everyone!  Laura here to share with you today!  I've got a LO all ready to go for those great 4th of July pictures of your picnic, watching the parade, or enjoying the fireworks!

The base of this LO is a plain 12×12 sheet of white cardstock.  I used red paint and the Clear Scraps 6" Spiral Stencil.  The pattern reminds me of fireworks!

I just moved the stencil around and pounced in the paint with a sponge applicator–a foam brush would work great too!  I used the "rule of threes" to keep it well balanced, and thought about creating a frame of sorts for the papers and stickers I'd use later.  I truly love this stencil, but keep in mind, Clear Scraps also has some other stencils that would be great, including actual fireworks!  You can find all the stencils HERE.  Stop by and peruse all the different possibilities!

After I layered in some patterned paper, mats for my photo and a few stickers, I wanted to add the BRAND NEW American Flag Mini Shaker.  Perfect for this LO!

Easy to cut out the patterned paper base piece for this mini shaker, and then glue all the layers.  As always–remember to peel off that protective layer on BOTH sides of the acrylic layer!  It's so great to have that protection on the acrylic piece to keep it perfectly scratch and blemish free!  But before that acrylic layer was glued down, I added some of the Winter Sequins from Clear Scraps.  They may be winter, but they are a great set for a patriotic theme as well!   I added a few sprinkled around the page so it gives that little extra "sparkle" which is a fun element when creating a LO like this one!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
