Hi Craft Friends!

I'm Dana and I have a project to share using Clear Scraps Clear Acrylic Box! Click here

If you haven't tried crafting with Clear Scraps Acrylic I encourage you to try it. I'll walk you through the process and hope i inspire you to give it a try.  The papers I chose are from Prima Marketing new Avec Amour (in French that means "With Love ")collection! These papers have a French Vintage look to them that I love! I'll be inking all my papers using Tim Holtz Distress Ink Gathered Twigs.

To begin our project, remove all your acrylic pieces from your package. Following the diagram on the back of your project sheet, lay out all your pieces on your workspace in the order of assembly. Each piece has a letter sticker so you know exactly where they go. (See photo)

I recommend using a strong permanent glue such as Beacon glue. Included in your package are Clear circle stickers to help hold your pieces together after gluing. I do recommend adding Beacon glue to all the slot edges this helps the acrylic to bond and stay in place. After your box is assembled and throughly dry, remove all circle stickers from the corners of your acrylic box. Here's how it should look:

Now taking 2 different coordinating papers, I cut one 12"  border strip to measure 6 & 1/2 inches x 1 inch and the top border strip measures 6 & 1/2 x 2 & 1/8 inches. I adhered them along all four outside edges, leaving about 1/4 to 1/2 " of the acrylic visible. Make sure that your hearts on the inside are all going in the same direction and right side up, before adhering. I use a clear tape runner or Clear glue when working with acrylic. Be careful where you place your tape or glue and dont use too much. Here's some closeup photos!

On the top of my box I adhered one 6×6 floral paper. Remember whatever paper you chose it matches the inside. I glued another coordinating 6×6 paper on the inside bottom of my box. Here's acouple photos!

Now we can begin to decorate the top of our acrylic box! I cut out one of the Journaling cards from this paper collection. I glued some vintage trim along the outside of my journal card. Here's a photo:

Then I adhered my journal card to the top of my box using foam tape. I like to add a variety of different embellishments, such as flowers, ephemera and crystal gems. I fussy cut out a small butterfly from one of the extra element sheets. I tucked the butterfly in between my flower petals. I glued a teacup chipboard sticker above and a chipboard sentiment on the bottom of my journal card. I adhered a pink bow on the upper right corner and a few crystal gems. I also applied some Stickles Diamond glitter on my butterfly wings and Little Birdie!

On the top inside cover, I applied one chipboard fountain sticker!

Now if you like, I used some of the leftover scraps and created some acrylic tags to include in my gift box. I used a 12×12 acrylic sheet from a previous Clear Scraps printer tray project. I cut a total of 6 tags from my acrylic sheet to measure 2 & 1/2 x 4. I punched a hole at the top using my Crocodile punch.

I took 6 smaller tags from my Prima Tags and Tickets package and adhered to the center of each acrylic tag. I cut one small journal card,  some chipboard stickers and puffy stickers and glued on the front of each tag as an embellishment. To finish, I tied some pink ribbon and various colors of tulle through each hole and tied in a bow!  Here's a photo:
