Lemonade Pitcher Card and Tag

We are in full Summer mode here at my house!  That includes sipping on lemonade, sitting by the pool and relaxing!  Hi, it's Maureen with you today, sharing an adorable new mini shaker project using the Mini Shaker Pitcher.  I'm representing all those days of sitting on the porch, or setting up a neighborhood lemonade stand with this cute card and gift idea.

This tag and card set is a great hostess gift idea for Summer get-togethers.  I'm using one shaker for both projects, and I think it's an easy one to complete in just an afternoon.

First, I took apart the Mini Shaker Pitcher and removed the back base chipboard piece.  This will be used later on my card.  With the other layers, I've glued them to a yellow striped patterned paper, then trimmed around the base.  This is then glued onto a cute lemon paper cut in a 3.5" by 4.25" rectangle.

From here, I used an assortment of sequins from the Spooky Sequins and Spring Sequins collection, plus mixed in a couple other colors I had at home.  Then, I topped it off with the acetate layer (remember to remove the film from both sides!) and a top layer that was painted in a lime green.

Once the glue was dry on these layers, I've attached the rectangle to a tag I created with a die cut machine.  This is cut at 8" by 4.25" and then a circle is cut out at the top.  Fold the tag just below the circle and attach the mini pitcher to it.  Top this of with a cute ribbon bow.

Now for the card!  Using the base piece of the Mini Pitcher Shaker, I traced the same adorable lemon paper in pencil and cut out a shape to cover the chipboard.  I also dusted the edges of this shape in ink.  Add a bow and set aside for the card.

Now, taking a 5.25" square card, I'm stenciling a pattern  on the background with the 6" Quilt Masking Stencil.  I went up and down the rows in green for the stripes, then came back with yellow for the dots.  Let this dry a bit, especially if your ink is wet.

This card is finished off with a sentiment cut out in a scallop circle and a couple lemon die cut shapes too.  It is cute for Summer gifting – what do you think?
