Hello, today I am using the cutting board shape shiplap to show off fall memories. Fall is a great time for family gatherings and reunions. A creative handmade gift to show off a favorite memory or a special moment. The cutting board brings memories of my childhood and how my grandma loved to bake!
The front side has the shiplap lines in it, so I used the smooth backside to cover with paper. I used one 12×12 sheet of paper and turned the shape at an angle to cover the entire board. To give an aged look I inked the edges with a brown ink. I use liquid glue on most of my projects, but you can use any type of adhesive when working with the fun shapes from Clear Scraps.
I created a pocket using a coordinating piece of decorative paper. This pocket can hold a favorite recipe card, picture or special memory. The easiest way to cut the paper with the curved edges is to use a craft knife and cut the excess paper for a clean edge. Again, I inked the edges of the pocket as well. Adding ephemera and a decorative bow to finish off this special piece for your favorite fall memories.
Invited to a fall bridal shower? This will make a great gift and slide in a couple of your favorite recipes to pass on to the newlyweds. Fall family reunion this is a great idea to give to the host.
Thank you for visiting.
