Clear Scraps Project Post

Hello all!  Laura here with you today to share a LO idea for all those autumn pictures soon to come as those fall colors start!

Love everything about fall, especially the gorgeous pictures to scrap!   When you want to create those fall LO's, Clear Scraps has got you covered for beautiful embellishments, stencils, chipboard and more to add uniqueness to each of your pages!  One of the best ways to customize your LO is to use stencils.  The Clear Scraps 5"x9" Leaves Stencil is the perfect compliment for this fall LO!  And it's stenciled with just a little "twist".

Instead of applying the paint THROUGH the stencil, I applied it TO the stencil as you can see in this pic.  Then I pressed down to get an outline impression, rather than a stenciled image–almost like a stamp. 

I repeated this all along one edge of where I planned to glue down my biggest piece of patterned paper.  Some are a little thicker, some lighter/thinner–I often "stamped" and without adding more paint, "stamped" again.  It gives a fun almost hand painted look.  Love the texture this adds to the LO.  The Mini Shaker Tall Pumpkin is a great embellishment for fall LO's.  These shakers are easy to put together–just paint or trace the back onto patterned paper.  Glue the frame layers together and then add sequins, little jewels, whatever your favorite shaker filler is (you can find filler ideas HERE in the Clear Scraps Store) and the acrylic layer and top frame.

The top frame here was painted with acrylic paint.  Don't be afraid to find a fun pattern for the back–I used this fun fall print with sweaters, boots, etc.  It adds a fun element to the shaker that you can peek when the sequins/filler moves around!  This was finished off with a few enamel dots, twine, and stickers.
