Hi Craft Friends!

It's Dana and I'm back on the Clear Scraps blog to share my last project for the month of September! The fall season has arrived! Today's project features Clear Scraps Wood Pumpkin Accordion Album Click here

The papers I'll be using to decorate my album are from Prima Marketing Pink Autumn Collection.

To begin I covered the front pumpkin wood piece with Finnibair Sparks Butterfly Spells paint. Let dry. The top stem I covered with a piece of scrap paper. Taking my xaco knife I trimmed away any excess paper and then using my Clear Scraps Sanding tool Click here I smoothed any rough edges.

Next taking the 4th solid wood piece, I covered with another patterned paper and trimmed and distressed as we did previously for the stem.

Now take your 3rd piece (cutout) and glue on top of your previous piece. I recommend using Beacon glue when gluing wood and chipboard pieces since you want a strong permanent glue that won't come apart! Next taking the shaker filler of your choice and fill all 3 sections. You can see all the Clear Scraps Shaker Filler available Click here

Next take your acrylic piece and peel off the protective film from both sides and glue on top. Set aside to dry throughly before shaking! Here's a photo:

Set this aside for now. Now cover all your remaining wood pumpkin pieces with coordinating papers. Glue, trim and Distress along the edges as we previously did. Be sure to punch all your holes before gluing your paper down. I chose to apply Distress ink  around the edges of each pumpkin wood shape! Here's a photo:

Now we can start decorating our album pages.

Page 1 (back of front cover) I fussy cut a butterfly out of scrap paper. I adhered a sentiment at the top of my page and added the butterfly. I bent the wings slightly upward to create movement. I glued a chipboard sticker along the bottom.

Page 2: I took 3 Journaling cards cit down to measure 3 & 1/4 x 4 inches, scored 1/2 inch at the top. Then waterfalled them onto my page. I glued a piece of lace trim along the top edge of my waterfall. You could add a photo underneath your waterfall. Here's a photo:

Page 3: I applied a floral rub-on along the bottom of my page. Using foam dots on the back, I adhered a fussy cut sentiment piece at the top.

Page 4: I cut a Journaling card to measure 3 & 1/2 x 5 inches. Scored 1/2 inch on the left side and adhered to my page. I applied some rub-ons on top of my card. Here's a closeup photo:

Page 5: I cut out a sentiment from one of the Journaling cards and adhered at the top. I applied foam dots to the back of my pumpkin. Added a chipboard sticker at the bottom.

Page 6: I left as is I didn't want to cover up the pretty paper or sentiment. You can add a photo here.

Page 7: I glued a ephemera sentiment Sweater Weather at the top and acouple chipboard stickers along the bottom. Here's some closeup photos:

For the cover of my album, I wrapped some wire and leaves around the stem. Then glued some Prima flowers on the top. I tucked a small polka dot ephemera heart in between my flower petals. I glued a sentiment piece across the center of my cover.

To finish I took some jute cord and tied my album pages together to form an Accordion style.

I tied my pages together using jute cord and in an Accordion fashion. Here's a photo:
