Hi everyone! Laura here today to share a cute LO for your favorite furry friend!
This fun LO starts with a plain 12×12 piece of cardstock. It was stenciled with the 5×9 Circle Dots Stencil. This is one of the cool dual Mixer Stencils from Clear Scraps.
I started at the top of the piece of cardstock toward the left side and angled the stencil slightly. Using a ink applicator (could be a sponge or a soft brush) I added the ink in a random pattern to the stencil.
Then the stencil was shifted to work on down the page until there was a pattern down the entire page. Then I added some different patterned paper in layers. The stenciling peeks out just enough to add a little extra something and mimics the dot patterned paper.
To create the embellishments to match, it was Clear Scraps chipboard and mini shakers to the rescue!
The super cute bone n hydrant chipboard shapes are both in one set! These are painted with acrylic paint, and then behind the bone I traced and cut out the adorable paw patterned paper. The edges were brushed with a bit of ink also to create a little shading and depth. A few stickers and these are a perfect embellishment for the LO.
The Clear Scraps Mini Shaker Bone was a great match to the chipboard shape set. The top frame was painted with the same brown acrylic paint, and then the back was traced and cut out of the patterned dot paper. After the frame layers were glued down, a few sequins were added. Then the acrylic layer (peel off protective plastic from both sides!) and finally the painted top frame. A few stickers were added to the top and then it was all glued down.
Thanks for stopping by today!
