Hello all! Laura here with you today to share a bright and cheerful Christmas home decor project!

Who doesn’t love bright colors and cute little characters?!! This Clear Scraps Wooden Door Decor has been transformed into the entrance to candyland! It starts as raw wood. I painted it with white acrylic paint over the surface, then I painted around the inset sections of the door with aqua, green, and pink paint.

You can also see how I cut out the fun candy print paper and glued it down in each of the inset sections. It adds an eye catching background to the door without being overwhelming.
After this was all done, it was time to decorate! I used different stickers and ephemera pieces tucked in here and there.

These pieces, just like this “Merry & Bright” title add a fun element to this home decor piece. If you glue some pieces directly on and use foam tape on others, it makes the project design pop out! The doorknob (yes it even comes with a door knob!) was painted and I added an enamel dot for a fun element.
Another great addition is the Clear Scraps Mini Shaker X-mas Tree. It’s a perfect background addition for Santa, right??!!

It was painted green, and I used the sprinkle paper as a back piece to match the candy theme. After it was dry, I glued the other frame layers down, added the sequins, then peeled off the protective layer on the acrylic and glued it down. The green frame when on the top. After that a few stickers, pieces of ephemera and enamel dots created the perfect finishing touches.
Thank you so much for stopping by today! Stop back soon for more holiday inspiration!
