Clear Scraps Project Post

Hi there everyone!  Laura is here with you today to share a home decor project to brighten up those February Valentine's displays!

This fun, adorable project is so easy to create using some of the amazing decor bases available in the Clear Scraps store!  This one starts with the Heart Medium DIY Pallet Shape.  These are a great blank wooden "canvas" to build your project around.  If you like you can paint these, stamp on them, use inks or stains.  This one was traced on pretty patterned papers and then cut out and glued down.  I love the look of a double heart, so I also used the Clear Scraps Heart Shiplap Shape Small. 

It was painted with acrylic paint in a bright pink color, and then brushed lightly with a bit of white acrylic paint to give it a distressed look.  Once dry it was decorated with some paper borders and stickers, and then it was glued onto the larger Heart Pallet Shape. 

After the small heart was adhered, I used additional stickers, ephemera and then finished it off with some bling.  Such a great way to use up those scraps and create some beautiful home decor at the same time!  All ready for a Valentine's display!
