Fairies Wings Butterfly Shaker Tag Album

Hello Craft Friends!

I'm Dana and I'm thrilled to be back on the Clear Scraps blog after a short break. I just moved into a new house and I'm sure we all know what a chore it is to move. But now I am settled in, and have my craft room set up. So I'm ready to get back to crafting and hopefully inspire you along the way.

Today I'm using the new Clear Scraps Butterfly Shaker Tag!  Click here Who doesn't love shakers! See all the different shaker tags available here Click here Combined with a tag they make a great embellishment to add on any project, mini album or even a gift bag! The possibilities are endless! I'm also combining my butterfly shaker tag with Clear Scraps Chipboard Tag Album. Click here

From my crafty stash, I chose these Graphic45 Fairie Wings paper collection to decorate my Shaker tag and chipboard tag album.

To begin we'll be creating our Shaker Tag first. I chose one of the patterned papers to cover the front of my Shaker Tag base. I traced the shape onto my paper. Punched a hole at the top before adhering to my tag base. I recommend using Beacon glue when adhering onto chipboard. It gives a strong permanent hold so your paper stays in place. Taking my Butterfly Shaker top piece I covered with Finnibair light blue Glitter from their "A Bloom" Glitter pack.

Set aside to dry before preceding. After it's dried I carefully glued the other acrylic piece to the back of my top shaker piece. Next glue your next 2 chipboard layers onto your bottom piece. Fill with the shaker filler of your choice. I'm using sequins to fill my shaker.

Now add your top shaker piece in place. Set aside to dry throughly before shaking!

While your shaker piece is drying, we can cover all your other chipboard tags with coordinating papers. Make sure you punched all your holes at the top before adhering. Here's a photo of my chipboard tags so far.

Once your shaker tag has dried, we can decorate the backside. I took some Folkart Acrylic White Cottage paint and added 2 coats to my chipboard tag base being careful not to get any paint on my butterfly cutout on my tag base. Here's a photo!

After your paint has dried, I fussycut a small Fairy from leftover scrap paper and glued at the bottom right edge. Using foam dots I adhered a diecut sentiment at the top and a few fussycut circle shape images. I applied some clear Epoxy bubbles over top of the circle shapes. Here's a closeup look!

Tag 1: (from the Clear Scraps Chipboard Tag Album) I created a pocket measuring 3 & 3/4 x 2 & 3/4 inches, rounded both bottom corners before adhering in place. I cut out a few small journal cards and tucked inside my pocket. I glued some purple/silver ribbon along the top of my pocket. Then glued a chipboard sticker onto the front of my pocket. Here's a closeup photo!

I fussycut a Fairy sitting on a bubble and a set of bubbles and adhered on the front using foam dots. I added Epoxy dots on acouple bubble images to add dimension. Here's a closeup!
