All the Butterflies Mini Album

I am happy to share my first CDT project for Clear Scraps.

In today’s project I am working with the Clear Scraps Acrylic Mobile Phone Stand, the Tiny Acrylic and Chipboard Mixable Mini Album and some Acrylic shaped hearts.

I love the idea of a mobile phone stand and the quality of this one from Clear Scraps is excellent in size and structure. But for today’s project I am going to utilize the phone stand as a seat for my Mini Album.

I decided to decorate the phone stand with some colored scrapbook paper and added a layered cluster of die cuts into the mix. I embossed an acrylic shaped heart and then sponge painted it with off white acrylic paint and finished along the edges with gold leaf.

I tucked the heart into the layers and finished the cluster with machine stitching, cheese cloth for texture and distress ink for depth.

Now onto decorating the Tiny Mixable Album – This Tiny Mixable Chipboard and Acrylic album a really great size for a photograph brag book or to use as a pretty piece of home decor.

I used 1-inch strips of coloured scrapbook paper to decorate both the front and the back of each of the 2 Acrylic pages in my Tiny Album. Keeping the strips approx. 1/8 of an inch apart, I continued until both sides of these pages were complete.

I then covered the 2 chipboard pages with scrapbook papers and finished with machine stitching and distress ink.

To embellish the album, I used layered clusters of assorted die cuts gathered together with cheese cloth, Vintage music paper and lace. I then continued throughout the album adding tuck pockets for photos or journal spots.

I then bound the album together with some pretty sari silk ribbon.
