Hello Crafters!
Dana here! I'm back to share my latest Home Decor project for Clear Scraps! I'm using Clear Scraps Square Printer Tray Click here and combined it with Clear Scraps Mini Shaker Square! Click here I love shakers don't you?
I'll be using Simple Stories Simple Vintage Spring Garden collection to decorate both my Printer tray and Square shaker! I cant wait for Spring so thought id get a head start on creating Springtime Home Decor projects!
To begin I chose and cut out the papers I want to fit behind each window. I cut the center and bottom into long strips. Set these aside for now.
Taking a roll of matching washi tape from this paper collection, I adhered the washi tape to the front chipboard frame piece and trimmed off any excess washi tape from the end of my frame. I add a bit of glue and fold any excess washi tape to the backside to make sure it stays in place. Here's some photos:
Here's how it looks so far:
Set your printer tray aside and we'll work on creating our fun Square shaker!
I cut out a "Spring is Here" journal card sentiment and another background paper. Glue the sentiment journal card to your bottom chipboard base. Trim away any excess paper using your x-acto knife.
Take the next two chipboard shaker pieces and glue onto your bottom piece. Now you can add any shaker filler of your choice. I chose Clear Scraps Butterfly Medley Click here
Taking your acrylic shaker piece, peel off the protective film from both sides and then carefully glue over your previous layers. Take your top shaker piece and i applied another gingham green washi tape to the frontside. Then glue this onto your shaker bases. Set aside to dry throughly before shaking!
Once dry, glue your shaker to the middle top section of your printer tray. I applied a ephemera butterfly in the top left corner on my frame. Here's a photo:
Now take your other patterned papers and glue onto your bottom printer tray piece, making sure your images are visible through each frame window. Followed by the next two chipboard frame layers.
I chose not to add the acrylic sheet but you can glue this in place if you prefer. It really depends on how many embellishments you use and that they don't interfere with the top layer. You want a good tight seal. Add your top chipboard printer tray piece.
Now you can decorate and add any other embellishments you like. I use a variety of stickers, chipboard stickers along with Brads and enamel dots! Here's some closeups:
To finish my Printer tray I added a metal hanger to the backside with hot glue. You could add ribbons, jute cord or tulle for hanging. Now it's ready to display for the Spring season! Here's my finished Printer Tray!
I hope you enjoyed my project share today and you will start creating one for your Home Decor! Visit the Clear Scraps website Click here to find all the products you need to create this project and see all the newest products available!
