Blue Land 6X6 chipboard album

Hello crafters, have you ever done an album focusing on 1-3 colors? I love this "Blue Land" paper by Stamperia, so I decided to do a mini 6X6 album. I absolutely love the cool, calming colors. I used the 6X6 chipboard album found here, Stamerpia paper, ink, and misc flowers to create this mini album with pockets, hideaways, and a waterfall on the last page. These mini albums make perfect gifts or to focus on a particular event.

*For this album I put the holes at the top instead of the sides so it opens upward instead of to the left.

Base pages – after choosing the base page, trace, cut and ink all pages. I used a brown color by Stazon. I also used a round corner punch to round out my corners so they match the chipboard. Don't forget to punch the holes after each base page is glued down.

Front cover – after adhering base page, I added the chipboard window frame, cut the wheel in half and added it to the left side of the page. Finally I embellished with flowers and chipboard pieces.

After adhering base pages, Page 1- I grabbed one of the envelope ephemera pieces and using an exacto knife, I cut a slit inside the envelope to create a pocket. I glued the side and bottom only of the envelope and added tags (inked and added ribbon) inside the envelope. I embellished with a piece of cheese cloth, chipboard elements and some flowers. Page 2 – I grabbed the bench chipboard piece and glued the sides and bottom of the bench only to create a pocket. I grabbed a few more tags and inked the edges, added ribbon and tucked them inside the bench. Finally I added some flowers and chipboard/ephemera pieces.

Page 3 – I cut a 3×6 piece with the flowers and fussy cut around the flowers, inked and glued top, bottom and right side to create a pocket. I then cut 2 round pieces from the collect, inked and tucked inside the pocket (there is plenty of room to add tags, pictures etc). Finally, I embellished with ribbon and ephemera pieces. Page 4 – Cut a 4×3 piece from blue paper to create a photo mat and embellished with flowers and ephemera.

Page 5 – Before adhering base page, I cut a 5×3 piece of paper and scored it at the 1 inch on the 5 in side. I glued the 1 inch scored piece to the chipboard to create the flap. I then glued the base page on top. Next, I cut a 3×2 piece of blue paper to create a photo mat, inked and added it to the right side of the page. I then added a piece of lined paper for journaling to the left. Finally, I embellished with flowers and chipboard/ephemera pieces. Page 6 – I took a 5×3 piece of paper and tore it at a diagonal. I inked the paper and glued the left side and bottom only to create a pocket. I cut 2 tags and used 2 pieces of mini book covers that came with the collection and tucked them inside the pocket. Finally, I embellished with the wheel and flowers.

For the back page, I cut a 6×6 piece with the bench in the picture, inked and adhered. Finally I used 3 1 inch book rings to hold the book together and added various color and textured ribbon to cover the rings.

I hope you enjoyed this album and you are inspired to create your own. Thank you so much for looking and happy crafting.
