Hello everybody! Laura here with you today to share a bit of patriotic decor on this Memorial Day!
This was created using one of the NEW Clear Scraps Shiplap pieces. This one is the Rounded Tag Shiplap Shape Large. It's the perfect size to create home decor. This one was painted with white acrylic paint. The bottom section was stenciled using the Clear Scraps 4×6 Stars Stencil using red ink.
After adding some great patterned paper layers to tag the sections, it was time to get creative with the embellishments! So many fun things on this project. We'll start with the Mini Shaker Heart.
The top frame layer was painted with red acrylic paint, the solid back piece, I used a great journal card that had an American Flag print. It was traced, cut out and glued down. Then the layers of raw chipboard were both glued onto that, then a few sparkly gems were added, and next up was the acrylic layer. You peel the protective coating off of the front and back, and then finally the painted frame glued on top. Love these shakers–they add such a neat detail that you can customize to any project!
A few stickers applied with foam tape finished off the heart shaker.
The small stars on here are the Clear Scraps Multi Stars Chipboard Embellishments.
These were painted, some sparkle added with glitter glue, and then layered together and added to the project.
Next up was another shiplap shape. Did you know the Clear Scraps shiplap shapes come in different sizes?
This is the Star Shiplap Shape Small. It's a great size to make a smaller project too, but a perfect size as an add on for a larger project like this tag. It was painted with acrylic paint, and then layered with some fussy cut paper pieces with foam tape. Some ribbon was added to the top of the tag to finish it off.
Thanks for stopping by today!
