Clear Scraps Project Post

Hello Denise here and Today I have The Fabulous Clear_Scraps Scalloped _File_Dividers and Clear _Scraps_File_Box.

I first Glued the File box together. I started with the longer side pieces, then glued one back piece then added the pieces with holes for the inside to hold the Dowels . Then glued the dowels to that side. Let the glue set a bit . Then glued the second holed piece to the other end piece. Then proceeded to finish the box by lining up the dowels to the pre glued holed piece. It fits together like a puzzle and goes together pretty quickly. I recommend a wood glue or Craft glue for wood and paper. 

I painted after gluing together. I definitely recommend doing painting to the inside before finishing gluing together the dowels and final end piece.
I still love the antique style finish I achieved. I wanted a neutral palette for this project.

I used 3 different nuetral paints Bone, a beige and Antique Gold. I used a makeup sponge to apply startling with beige , and then the Bone white ; by swiping back and forth, concentrating on where I wanted heavier applications. I finished with the Antique Gold and edged it all up. Finished with Solar paste on a Stencil from my crafty stash.

The Clear _Scraps_Scalloped_File_Dividers are Made of Chipboard and are fairly easy to glue to paper. You will need a good precision craft knife to fussy cut around to remove the remaining paper. It’s totally worth the effort. I promise you will love the results.

I decided to also stencil the Clear _Scraps_Scalloped_Dividers.

I used the same Solar Paste and stencil. On them and went over all of the edges on them. Love the results and decided to stop there. Proceed with embellishments.

I am working with A Crafty themed Scrapbook collection by Echo Park. This  File Box and File Dividers can be a great Mother’s Day gift or Birthday or just because gift for a crafty friend.

I really love the stenciling. I grabbed some stickers and backed them to some scrap chipboard from my stash to embellish the Clear _Scraps_Scallope_File_Dividers. Some beautiful flowers gifted from a friend recently and buttons,some pins. Anything I could think of to embellish them and the File Box as well.

These Were so much fun to work with. Sturdy and took no time at all to cover with paper. 
The Clear_Scraps_File_Box was also easy to paint and stencil and I had no problem gluing on the metal feet from my stash. Again a good wood glue or even hot glue works great. 

I Am extremely happy my vision came out and how Beautiful this Project is. 

I embellished with a gifted Bow and tiny gorgeous heart rosette as well. I hope I didn’t leave anything out. There’s alot going on and it’s all gorgeous.
