Hi there all! Laura here with you today to share a summer fun project on this first day of summer!!
Who loves to go to the beach during the summer? Whether it's the lake, the ocean or the waterpark, we can all get our little dose of water, sand and sunshine in this tag! This is the new Clear Scraps Shaker Tag Shovel. Love the fact it's clear all the way thru! It's great on a scrapbook page, as part of a mini album, even a gift tag! You can fill it with sequins as done here, or pretty gems, beads, and even imagine some sand from your favorite beach! And these tags are not only for the beach. You can find all sorts of themes in the Clear Scraps store as well. Check them all out HERE.
To make this particular tag, the shovel top frame was painted in a bright blue, and the tag portion was painted a lime green. Once dry, I stenciled the sunburst pattern using blue-green ink and a soft blending brush using the Clear Scraps 5×9 Geo Burst Stencil. Then the tag layers were assembled/glued together for the shovel, adding the additional frame pieces, sequins and acrylic. Notice the sequins in the handle portion too!
Just as a tip: I find it easiest to put together the back of the tag first, then create and glue together the front after adding the sequins. Once that is all together, then you can start to decorate the tag any way you wish.
For this one, I used a few stickers and a sentiment and attached using foam tape, then added a few enamel dots (always fun!) and a organza and twine layered bow at the top to finish it off. This bright & colorful tag will be perfect on a beach scrapbook page or in a mini album!
Thanks for stopping by today!
