Country Kitchen Cutting Board Home Decor

Hello Craft Friends!

Dana here! I'm back today to create an easy Home Decor project to display in your kitchen! I hope you'll like it and be inspired. To create this project, I'll be using Clear Scraps Cutting Board Shiplap Shape-Medium. Click here

The Chipboard Embellishments I chose are Clear Scraps Cooking Utensils Chipboard Click here and Clear Scraps Baking Chipboard Embellishments Click here

The paper collection I chose is Carta Bella "Country Kitchen " but you can use any paper collection you choose. This is a good way to use extra stickers and papers in my stash.

To begin our project, I applied some Bright Yellow acrylic paint on the top handle and sides of my cutting board. Let dry.

While drying, you can chose 3 different papers to cover all 3 sections on your cutting board. I cut to fit, inked along the edges using Distress Ink Gathered Twigs, and  glued in place. Then trim any excess paper from the sides, using your xaco knife. See photo:

I cut out a border strip sentiment and glued at the top edge of my cutting board. Here's how mine looks so far:

At the bottom edge of my cutting board, I cut apart some circle sticker pendants and adhered upside down at the bottom edge. I folded the bottom of each circle sticker and adhered with glue on the bottom edge of my cutting board. See photo:

From scrap paper I cut out 4 milk caps and inked around the edges. I also cut out a small journal card. See photo:

Set these pieces aside for now. Take your Clear Scraps Cooking Utensils and Baking Chipboard Embellishments. Cut apart the slotted spoon, whip and spatula. You can save the other chipboard embellishments for a future project.

I covered the top handles with brown ink, and the spatula with orange ink. On the slotted spoon I applied light brown ink. Here's a photo:

On the whip, I applied brown ink on the handle and silver Gliding Wax over top of the whip. Sorry I didn't get a separate photo of the whip. Sometimes I get into my craft MOJO and forget to take a separate photo. But I will have a finished photo to share at the end.

I applied foam tape on the backside of my journal card and adhered on the middle section at the leftside. On the right side I applied 3 sticker sentiments. On the 2 tag stickers I added a colorful enamel dot over each hole on my tiny Tags. Here's a closeup look:

On the handle at the top I applied a sticker "Mix it Up" Taking some red ribbon I thread each chipboard embellishment onto my ribbon and arranged at the top. I did secure each chipboard embellishment with some hot glue. I tied a knot at the top.

Here's acouple photos:
