Hello Craft Friends!
Dana here to share a fun and quick project idea using Clear Scraps Mason Jar Wooden Covers https://www.clearscraps.com/Mason_Jar_wooden_Lids_p/cshdlid.htm and Chipboard embellishments punchouts! https://www.clearscraps.com/embellishments_p/cscb5x6warmncozy.htm
These Mason jar Wooden Covers are easy to put together and so much fun to embellish with the new Chipboard Punchouts! Its a great way to use up leftover paper scraps in your stash!
I chose Simple Stories Winter Wonder papers and stickers to decorate mine. You can use any theme you prefer and Clear Scraps have several different Chipboard Punchouts to chose from. https://www.clearscraps.com/category_s/42.htm
To start this project, remove your Mason jar wooden pieces from your package. Take one of the skinny rings and cover with Versa Magic Pink Grapefruit Ink. Sprinkle over top some Clear Embossing powder and heat emboss. See photo:
Take the Wooden piece with the hole and apply Folkart Cottage White acrylic paint. Set aside to dry. After your ring is dry, i applied some enamel dots around the edge. Then glue one of the skinny small wood rings to the top of your wood piece with the hole. See photo:
Then glue the other two rings on the bottom. I recommend using a strong adhesive like Beacon glue.
Next take the Chipboard Punchouts and punch out 3 pieces. I chose the mittens, Snowflake and sweater pieces. Save the other Punchouts for another future project!
Next I chose 3 different patterned papers to cover my 3 Wooden Mason jar covers. I also chose another patterned paper to cover both Chipboard mittens and another paper to cover the sweater.
I cut my paper to fit over each chipboard Punchout shape. Then using my x-acto knife I trimmed away any excess paper. You can smooth out any rough edges using your Distress tool. See photo:

For the Snowflake Punchout I applied some Versamark Clear ink and sprinkled some Holographic Embossing powder. Heat emboss with your heat tool. I added a chipboard sticker Snowflake in the center. The Snowflake does look more shimmery but hard to tell on my photo. Here's a photo:
I cut a piece of patterned paper and glued to my sweater Punchout. Then trim with an x-acto knife as we did with the mittens.
On my mittens Chipboard punchout I applied some Versamark Clear ink and sprinkled some fine glitter over top.
Then heat emboss. I cut a small piece of jute cord and glued to the back of each mitten the sweater I applied a few enamel dots to the front of my sweater. See photo above.
Now adhere each Punchout onto each wood Mason jar covers, using foam dots to add more dimension. See photo:
Now you can interchange your wood covers just pop them in place at the top. This adds a fun seasonal way to decorate the top of your Mason jar! I think these would make a great gift idea too!
