Hey there, crafty friends! Jennifer here, and I’m so excited to share this gorgeous lilac mini album with you today! These mixable albums—featuring both chipboard and acrylic—are an absolute dream to work with. The creative possibilities are endless, and they really let you craft a mini album that's as fun and charming as your imagination will take you!
8×9 mixable mini album

For the chipboard pieces, I started by tracing, cutting, and gluing the paper into place. Once everything was dry, I grabbed my X-Acto knife to carefully trim the edges for a clean finish. To add a little extra depth, I inked the edges with Stazon’s rich brown ink for that perfect, vintage touch.

As for the acrylic pieces, I peeled back the film on one side (don't forget this step—it's key!), then applied some vibrant alcohol inks. To create a beautiful water effect, I took a splatter brush and flicked a bit of alcohol onto the surface, letting it create those dreamy, fluid patterns. It’s all about those little details that really bring the project to life!
Once I had the base pages in place and the acrylic all decked out, it was time to have some fun decorating each page. I added photo mats to showcase those perfect memories, along with pockets for even more photo mats and tags for journaling—because every album needs a little storytelling, right?
To really bring each page to life, I layered in some chipboard embellishments, beautiful flowers, and a touch of ribbon here and there. These little details really help tie everything together, giving the album that extra bit of charm and personality. It's all about creating a space that’s as special as the photos you'll put inside!
I absolutely adore albums that embrace a single color palette—it adds such a cohesive, striking vibe. This is actually my third album centered around a color scheme, and it’s always such a fun challenge! I hope this sparks some creative energy for you, and maybe even inspires you to craft your own mini album using chipboard and acrylic. The possibilities are endless!
