Clear Scraps Project Post

Hi there everyone!  Laura here with you today to share a cute idea to add to your Memory-Dex collection!

These cards were created using up scraps from a scrapbook LO I made (make sure to stop back in just over a week to see that!).  The base cards are the Clear Scraps Hearts Chip Dividers 3pk.  These are a great simple base to start with and these cards are great for making a Valentine's Day, Anniversary, Love, or Wedding Memory-Dex box, to name a few.  I used a combo of paint and tracing and cutting out on pretty patterned papers.

They are 2 sided of course too, here is the back!

To give the painted areas a little texture/depth, I went back in with distress ink and a brush to stencil these fun scrolled hearts using the Clear Scraps 5×9 Swirl Hearts Stencil.  One of the options from their cool Mixer Stencil collection! It's just the right size to cover the entire card with this sweet design!

These can add so much to any project and you get 2 great designs on one stencil to play with! 

Easy to use these stencils to get different looks too!  Here I used just a single heart to accent the hearts at the top of this card.  If you haven't tried stencils, these Mixer Stencils, are super easy to use–stop by and check out all the options HERE in the Clear Scraps store!

To finish up these cards, I love that you can then decorate any way you'd like.  Stickers, ephemera, enamel dots, ribbons.  You can go wherever your creativity takes you and use up those scraps/extras in the process–it's like getting 2 projects in one!  They are so quick to make also–so even if you don't have a Memory-Dex project in mind now, you can keep a few sets of cards around, and make them after you finish a big project–then they'll be ready to go when you are!
