Hello, friends! I’m beyond excited to share Part 2 of my Easter project with you this month! For the second part of this project, I’m working with two super fun pieces: the shiplap bunny wood shape and a charming house wood box. These pieces are the perfect canvas for adding a little Easter magic, and I can’t wait to see how they come together. Stay tuned as I transform these wooden shapes into something truly special!
To kick things off, I started by painting the bunny with a smooth layer of white gesso, setting a perfect base. Then, for some added depth and character, I brought out my brown Unicorn Spit and carefully applied it to give the bunny and the hosue pieces a rich, earthy tone. It’s all coming together beautifully, and I can’t wait to show you the next steps! I decided to give the edges of the bunny a rustic touch by using a file to gently distress them. This added just the right amount of worn, farmhouse charm to the shiplap bunny, giving it that perfectly weathered, vintage vibe. It’s little details like this that make all the difference!

Once the bunny was fully dry, I reached for some rub-ons from the collection and applied a few to the bunny, adding a delicate touch of charm. Next, I grabbed some ribbon and some soft, pretty flowers and wrapped them around the bunny’s neck, giving it an extra touch of springtime elegance.
To finish off the look, I added a little bit of moss to the bottom left for some natural texture, and from the paper collection, I found the perfect chipboard piece that read "Picture Perfect," which I added to complete the scene. The combination of textures and details is really bringing this project to life!
After the stain on the house box dried, I got to work by using some B-7000 glue to secure the sides (the fence pieces) together. Once everything was set and dry, I added the rods inside to hold the dividers in place within the box.
Then, I carefully glued the house piece to the box, making sure everything lined up perfectly. To finish it off, I attached the bunny to the front of the house, creating a sweet, rustic scene that’s all coming together beautifully!
To wrap up the entire project, I added the dividers from part 1 of the project to the box, and I’m absolutely thrilled with how it turned out. The finished look is perfect, and there’s definitely space to add more photos as the years go by. Thanks so much for taking the time to check out my creation!
