Clear Scraps Project Post

Hello there everyone!  Laura here with you today to share a home decor project using the Clear Scraps Shiplap Shapes!

This project starts with the Fence Shiplap Shape Large.  I painted the base with a soft wash of white, and the cross pieces black.  Once this once dry and the cross pieces glued on, I added the paper to the center–using a patterned base, and then the 2 mats to add photos to.  A cute sentiment journal card and a few stickers and enamel dots finish that section off.  The blue butterfly is another of the Clear Scraps Shiplap Shapes.

The Butterfly Shiplap Shape Small was painted a soft aqua blue.  It was glued to the cross piece of the fence and then a few stickers added.  It's such a nice size–big enough it makes an impact, but small enough to add a cute touch to a home decor project.  These are great on their own too, but I love to layer up on the shiplap shapes!  This butterfly shape has a matching mini shaker!

On the Mini Shaker Butterfly, I kept with the black/yellow theme and painted the frame black.  The back was traced on a pretty patterned paper (it matches the paper used in the center of the fence) and then it was glued together with some sequins in the matching black/yellow/white colors.  It makes the perfect compliment to the other shiplap butterfly!
