In November of last year, my husband and I adopted a new little puppy. The Clear Scraps Mini Tag Album is the perfect size for a keepsake so I thought it would be fun to create a little album of our sweet little guy.
The mini tag album comes with a ring and five acrylic pages, giving plenty of space for special memories.
For the album cover, I covered the first tag page with plain red cardstock and created the title using the "Love has 4 Paws" chipboard element from the Treats (pet) Chipboard Punchout Embellishments. After coloring the chipboard word with my acrylic paint marker, I adhered it to the cover, tucking a little puppy sticker under the right edge.
For the second page, I decided to leave some of the acrylic tag showing. I trimmed a heart pattern out of a sheet of paper and adhered it to the front. Next, I added a small photo of the pup with dimensional adhesive onto a white photo mat, adhered that over the right edge of the heart, and topped it with the "Spoiled" sticker—which couldn't be more true!
For the third page, I covered the tag with patterned paper featuring little dog bones. I added a photo, mounted on a white cardstock mat, and adhered it to the middle of the tag, angled slightly to the left. I colored the bone from the Treats (pet) Chipboard Punchout Embellishments with my white acrylic paint marker, then added puffy alphabet stickers spelling out my puppy's name. His name is bigger than he is, so it almost didn’t fit!
For the fourth page, I left more acrylic showing again. I outlined the edge of the tag with my red acrylic paint marker before coloring the doghouse from the Treats (pet) Chipboard Punchout Embellishments. I adhered the doghouse to the front of the tag and topped it off with a small sticker.
For the final front page, I covered the tag with patterned paper and trimmed a sticker to fit the bottom portion. I adhered my photo on the top section, angled slightly to the right, then added the "Furry Friend" sticker across the bottom.
Now, onto the back pages!
The back of the first page is completely covered with a photo of my husband holding our sweet little puppy shortly after we brought him home. I added a "Dog Dad" sticker with dimensional adhesive across the bottom of the photo. Aren't they the cutest?!
For the back of the second page, I trimmed another photo to a similar size as the front, mounted it on a red mat, and adhered it to the tag—ensuring it covered the elements from the other side. Before adding the tab with the date, I backed it with red cardstock. I finished this page with a puffy heart sticker and a word element sticker.
The back of the third page is covered with a 3×4 element card trimmed to fit. I placed a picture of my little guy with his frisbee around his head in the lower left corner, slightly angled, and topped it with a word sticker. After adding "Frisbee Fun" journaling, I finished the page with a "Playtime" sticker popped up with dimensional adhesive.
For the back of the fourth page, I mounted a photo of myself with our puppy on white cardstock and adhered it with dimensional adhesive, ensuring it covered most of the doghouse from the other side. I finished it off with a "Dog Mom" sticker and a puffy heart.
Finally, for the back of the last page, I covered the tag with red cardstock and trimmed the edge with a border sticker. After adding a photo of my puppy experiencing his first snow, I used alphabet stickers for the title and sprinkled in a few tiny snowflake embellishments.
I also included a little paw print chipboard piece from the Treats (pet) Chipboard Punchout Embellishments, coloring both sides with my acrylic paint marker. Instead of attaching it to a page, I threaded it onto the album ring through one of the toe openings so it could dangle freely inside the album.
This Mini Acrylic Tag Album was such a fun way to document our new puppy’s first moments with us. I love how sturdy the acrylic tags are, making it perfect for flipping through over the years.
