Tiered Tray Spring Fence

Hello everyone!  My name is Robbie and I am so excited to be part of the team and share ideas with all your crafters!

I love tiered trays and I have a mini one.  You don't often find small objects you can use on them so I loved the idea of creating my own.  This fence is the small one and is just the right size to sit next to the tray.

To create your fence you will need the following items.  I used the Clear Scraps Fence Shiplap Shape – small and the Embellishments chipboard punch outs – Spring.

First step is to paint the fence with a stain and wipe off the excess to lighten it.  Let dry for several hours.

While the fence is drying, choose the images on the chipboard punch outs you want to use on your fence and mask the others with post-it notes.  Apply a coat of Gesso to the images you are using and let dry for 24 hours.

Once the gesso is dry, paint each object.  I applied 2 coats of paint to all the objects except the body of the ladybug.

Once the paint is dry – usually 4 hours – you want to carefully punch out the pieces.  If you have small tabs left after you punch them out, use a pair of scissors to trim it off.

Now you will attach the pieces to the fence.  Use a strong glue and add it to the back of the pieces then add it to your fence.  You may need to hold it in place for the glue to set.

Once you glue the pieces in place, shop your stash to find some flowers to add.

Add your flowers with a strong glue.  Here is what your fence will look like when finished.

I hope you were inspired by today's project.  Hop over to the Clear Scraps website and pick up the supplies you need.

Have a Fabulous Friday!
