Hello there everyone! Laura here with you today to share a great gift idea for the upcoming holidays!
The Clear Scraps Mason Jar Wooden Covers are truly a simple, but adorable way to create and give a handmade special something to friends & family! They are versatile since you can paint them, stain them, cover with paper, stencil, whatever! And if you gift someone an entire original "set" –the lid and 3 inserts, you can purchase more inserts and create more later to continue the giving! Or gift them the lid with one insert, and use the other 2 for later gifting. Love that you have a lot of options!
This insert was painted with blue acrylic paint, then embellished using a cut out circle, foam stickers, and enamel dots. Sweet and simple, but a festive look! Add this to a mason jar filled with candy, or other goodies, and it's a perfect gift for the Memorial Day or 4th of July hostess!
This next insert was completely covered with paper (trace and cut out!) and then embellished with a scrap paper strip and more foam stickers.
The final insert in this set was painted with red acrylic paint, and then the stars were stenciled on using the Clear Scraps 4×6 Stars stencil and blue acrylic paint. A stenciling tip: it's easier to stencil using a foam brush or applicator with paint. You get a lot of control and less chance of bleed through. And just as the other inserts, super easy to finish this off with a paper strip, foam stickers and a twine bow.
These Wooden Mason Jar Covers are quick and easy to create and yet make a "WOW" gift! They would also make cute favors at a party (wedding!) or a fun centerpiece idea used with some cute tin or glass containers filled with flowers!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
