Vacation 3D Frameable Project

If you’re looking for a fun way to frame a special photo I have a project for you!

Hi there! It’s Judy here with some inspiration created for Clear Scraps. My husband, kids and I took a trip to Kauai in 2002. We had a photo taken of the 4 of us at a luau and have never framed it until now.

For this project I am using a 3D Deco Frameable and Word n Shape Vacation Palm Tree.

I started by printing a tropical patterned paper.

Trace the frame on the backside of the patterned paper.

Cut out the tracing.

Adhere the paper to the frame. I used Mod Podge.

Next, I trimmed my photo a little larger than the frame opening.

Adhere to photo to the back of the frame.

Adhere the frame to the solid frame piece with wood glue.

Take the 2 base pieces and apply wood glue to one side of the smaller piece.

Adhere the smaller piece to the larger, lining up the slots.

I opted to paint the frame base and word n shape pieces.

Paint.

Adhere all the pieces to the base to complete. I decided to add a die cut title to the top of the frame. Also added die cut numbers for the year, 2002, to the base. I fussy cut a flower from the patterned paper used on the frame and glued to the Vacation word.
