Clear Scraps–DIY Pallet Shape–Celebrate Independence

Hi there everyone! Laura here today to share a project that's ready to help you decorate for the 4th of July!

This cute project starts with the House Medium DIY Pallet Shape. I think this is a personal fave! If you haven't had a chance to create with this one yet, you might want to check out all the different ideas on the blog! It can be an everyday item or can be made to work for any holiday too!

For this one, it was painted white, then, once dry, I took the 6" spiral stencil which reminds me of fireworks!

I used a soft brush and applied blue distress ink thru the stencil to the top portion of the house.

After the stencil, I added a few strips of patterned paper and embellishments. The red and blue layered star is one of the Clear Scraps Multi Stars chipboard embellishments. It's painted with acrylic paint and layered up. This set is a great versatile set–you can use the stars individually or layered and it can be used for so many projects in addition to patriotic. Would work great on a "star student" page or an "all-star" athlete page. Would also be cute for a birthday or graduation card or scrapbook LO!
