Hit the Road 8×8 chipboard album

Hello friends! Jennifer here, sharing a peek into a special project—an 8×8 chipboard album filled with memories from our honeymoon adventure in the Ozark Mountains in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. My husband and I had the most amazing time exploring this beautiful region!

From the breathtaking Big Cat sanctuary to the whimsical Quigley's Castle, every stop was a delight. We even went spelunking in a cave—what an adventure! Afterward, we made our way to Branson for some extra fun.

I created this album to capture the highlights of our unforgettable trip, and I can’t wait to share it with you all! Untitled

First, I traced each chipboard piece onto my chosen patterned paper. After carefully cutting them out, I adhered the paper to the chipboard and used an X-Acto knife to trim and tidy the edges for a crisp, clean finish.

This album features a few hidden pockets—perfect for tucking away extra photos and journaling tags. I also included a waterfall element to showcase a series of snapshots in a fun, interactive way. A few dedicated pages highlight some of our favorite moments, letting the memories take center stage.

I selected the “Life Is Good” chipboard piece and gave it a bold makeover with a coat of black paint. Once it dried, I added it to one of the pages as a striking accent that perfectly captured the spirit of our adventure.

To bind the album, I used three sturdy book rings and tied on a mix of colorful ribbons for a fun, decorative touch that brings the whole piece together beautifully.

Thank you so much for stopping by! This little album may be small in size, but it's overflowing with cherished memories—and there's still plenty of room to add more as our journey continues. I can't wait to keep filling its pages with love, laughter, and our honeymoon adventures.
