Hi there everyone! Laura here with you today to share some of the BRAND NEW from Clear Scraps!! Who's ready for a little "Christmas In July" sneak?!!
This is a full kit from Clear Scraps called the Interchangeable Banner Advent Set. It comes with everything you need to make a full advent countdown calendar. It has the 4 wood banner pieces, 2 wooden rings to hold the number discs, 12 wooden discs and 12 chipboard numbers (0-9 and then the extra 1 & 2 you need to complete all the calendar dates). As with all Clear Scraps wood items, this could be painted, stained, stamped and so much more! For this project, I used paper to cover each banner piece and added another patterned paper contrast strip that is matted on white cardstock.
The addition of some colorful stickers and enamel dots add a little pop of color and add in some extra layers for a fun touch.
The banner pieces, once complete, were tied together with some candy cane striped twine, with a cute little twine bow on each end adds a sweet little touch. Next up was to create all the numbers!
The chipboard numbers were painted with red acrylic paint, and each wooden disc was painted with aqua. Now you get all 12 discs you need for each of the 12 numbers. But if you wanted to put the number onto a cardstock circle and then attach with a piece of velcro to the disc–you could potentially use just 2 discs and have the other 10 to create with in other ways (PS these fit the Mason Jar Lids!). Nice to be able to have options!
There is another item available if you'd like to create a seasonal interchangeable banner using a basic background/color on the banner pieces. Yes, you could use this banner for that and use the extra discs like I just mentioned, but you can find individual banner pieces to create with HERE.
Thanks for stopping by today!
