Sun-Flowery High Back Memory-Dex

Hi there friends! Misty @Mommyofkidz here with you today!
With the summer almost over and the fall season just around the corner, I have a question for you…
Have you been able to set aside time for yourself to get crafty this summer?
If the answer is YES, then YAY!!!  I envy you! It is rare for me to be able to do. much of anything for myself during the summer!

If the answer was NO, then NOW is the time!  Did you know that the Clear Scraps Store carries a wide variety of pre-made DIY Home Decor projects that are just waiting for you to decorate and add your own special touch?

you can find almost ANYTHING from albums to Yard art, and everything in between!
Today I decided to share with you my newest project, the High Back Memory-Dex Box. When you order the kit, all the pieces come pre-cut with instructions on how to assemble.

It is SOOOO Stinkin' easy!  All you have to do is decorate it…Just as I have done below.
You can see all the sides are laid out after I adhered my patterned paper to the sides. For my wood projects, I usually use Mod Podge.  However, I was out and not anywhere near a craft store, so I used my tombow Dual Tip Glue, and it was fantastic!  This is just for the paper part…not the assembly.

I do use regular wood glue for the assembly of the box.  It is most definitely the best adhesive to ensure sturdy construction.
Below you can see my Memory-Dex Box all assembled, as well as a great view of the inside of my empty box.  Everything is covered in paper except for the dowel rod inserts and the top edge, all of which I painted black.

Once the box was assembled and Dry, I thought it needed just a bit more.  I mean. the green paper with the bumble bees was great, but I wanted it to be a bit more eye catching, and also to match THIS Junk Journal that I did a few months ago. I pulled out that super cool stencil and set to work! The 5×9 Plaids Stencil has quickly become one of my ALL time favorites!

And here is the box all finished.  I decided to keep the outside decorations to a minimum because I didn't want to cover up that stencil work…it is fantastic! Wh knows, I may add a bit more embellishments later, but I am pretty happy with how it looks now!! Keep reading and you will see why!

Of Course you all remember those super cute Sunflower & Lemon themed Memory Dex divider cards that I shared earlier this month, right? If not, Here they are…. both sides for you to see….

Well, I did make a few more to go along with these. This time I used the PHENOMENAL acrylic ones that are in the Clear Scraps Store, and WOW WOW WOW!  I am loving them so much! Tip** I ALWAYS use the Glossy Sccents by Ranger for all things acrylic.  It dries quick and clear…perfection!

Another tip, 6×6 scrapbook paper is perfect for these smaller projects and cards.  I had very little waste and they are so easy to work with!

Once it was all put together and I added all of my dividers, THIS is what it looked like! I am so in love I can't stand it! All od the lemons and sunflowers and ribbons and bows…HOLY SMOKES!  Now you see why I didn't add anything more to the box itself, right!??

And just for another look at the matching pieces all put together…
What a fantastic set this will be! There are so many projects in the Clear Scraps Store that you can do this same concept with!  Make your own matching decor pieces ANY way you want!!

Now I need to redecorate my entire kitchen to match!  HA HA!
