Clear Scraps Project Post

Hello there everyone!  Laura here with a project that is perfect for fall gifting!

Have you had a chance to create with one of the Clear Scraps shaker tags yet?!!  These little gems are fun and oh so easy to make!  They make a great addition to a gift bag, would make a great tie on for a bottle of a little "something", and actually look AMAZING on a scrapbook page as well!

As with all the wonderful Clear Scraps chipboard, you can paint, stain, stamp, or as I did here, trace out, cut out and cover with paper!  Love that you can make these your own too.  With fall coming soon, I chose to make a fall tag, but there is no limit–could be baby, birthday, vacation, whatever you choose!  After the paper layer, and a little inking around the edges, it was time to build the shaker.

The frame of the shaker (this is the Shaker Tag Circle) was painted with dark brown paint.  I also painted the little frame around the "hello fall" sentiment in this same color.  This is one of the NEW Clear Scraps Vintage Frames Chipboard Embellishments.  Love that this set comes with 4 different frames in different sizes so you can choose the best fit for your project and also use for multiple projects!

The layers of the frame were glued together, and filled with sequins before the final acrylic layer was glued down.  Always remember to peel off the protective backing on both sides of those acrylic layers!

The leaf that is in the center of the circle is the Maple Leaves Chipboard Embellishments–another of the NEW sets available.

It was painted with orange and brown acrylic and was popped up on the acrylic using foam tape.  A few stickers, ribbons and enamel dots added the finishing touches on this pretty tag–and it's all ready to give!
