Clear Scraps Project Post

Hi everyone! Laura here with you today to share a spooky Halloween idea!

Raise your hand if you LOVE the Clear Scraps tags and tag boxes! These are so fun to works with and you can create for any season, holiday or event! For this project I’ve used a mix of tags. These are the Clear Scraps Chipboard Angle Tags & Chipboard Pentagon Tags. One was painted with acrylic paint, the other covered in paper. That’s part of what I love about these–so versatile! Once you get the base covered you can decorate them up any way you’d like!

And don’t forget the back of the tag too! You can leave plain, but it’s another surface you can use to decorate or more space for pics if that’s what you’d like to do!

To really mix it up, I also used the acrylic tags! This is the Clear Scraps Acrylic Pentagon Tag, and also the Acrylic Angle #10 Tags. It’s great to use different sizes and shapes to make the tag box more interesting! These were colored with alcohol inks in orange, red and yellow. Just dab onto the acrylic using a felt pad and you get a Halloween perfect look! Then decorate with papers and stickers.

The “trick” (pun intended–haha) here is to create the same look on both sides. Then nothing shows thru the acrylic. You can see between the 2 pics how they mirror each other. It’s super easy–just do one side the way you’d like, then flip over and follow the “template” created on the other side. Just cut papers that match the look.

This last set was the bigger set of tags–the Chipboard Angle #10 Tags and the Chipboard Pentagon #10 Tags. Again, one painted and one papered to mix up the look. And those cutie pumpkins are from Clear Scraps too! The Jack O Lantern Chipboard Embellishment set.

More spooky fun on the back of these tags too! So simple to layer up some papers and stickers. And don’t forget the finishing touches like enamel dots and pretty coordinating ribbons!
