Hi everyone, Katie here today to share my latest project using the Clear Scraps Magical Chipboard Word Album. These word albums are so fun and such a creative way to document special memories.

My daughter had the privilege of visiting Universal Studios last fall with her nephew and his aunt from his mom’s side. They road-tripped from Oklahoma to Florida and spent a week taking in all the sights. Their main focus at the park was the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, so the Magical word album was the perfect piece to create a one-of-a-kind keepsake for her to cherish.
I started by covering each word page using the same patterned paper for a cohesive look, then filled in the middle pages with coordinating patterns from the same collection. Keeping the background consistent really helped the photos and embellishments shine.
The wand pages are my absolute favorite! Shelby was selected for the wand experience where “the wand chose her.” Of course, I had to include those photos. Since the pictures were taken in a darker room, the quality wasn’t the best, so I created a pocket to tuck them inside along with a few coordinating 2×3 cards. On the outside of the pocket, I featured a brighter photo of Shelby pointing her wand at Hogwarts, framed and embellished to draw attention.

And because I couldn’t resist, I had to highlight a picture of my handsome grandson too! He was included on the wand page with a frame and ephemera so he wouldn’t be left out of the magical fun.
To finish things off, I added coordinating embellishments throughout the album — some layered ephemera, a few dimensional elements, and pops of metallic details to tie everything together.
I’ve also created a quick walk-through video to show all of the pages in this album below. It’s the best way to see how the whole project came together and get a feel for all the little details.
