Anyway…today I am using the Large Rectangle Journal Cover for this Interactive Christmas Album. I have gotten addicted to creating these junk journals….who would have ever thought it!!?? I have created several, and I think I have finally figured out my preferences and my “style”. For me, I LOVE LOVE LOVE a beautiful eye-catching cover. I don’t really focus on the pages so much as the cover. I want it to be GORGEOUS… lol. This cover is a little different though. It is Not as beautiful as I would want it to be…at first. Peep those pages though!!!

With bright colors and a field of stars, I created this cover for my December Daily~ish album. By Daily~Ish, I mean that I will absolutely not add to it every day…I am way to much of a procrastinator for that!! I started with the plain turquoise and red base cover. I use the heaviest card stock that I have for covering my albums. I want them to last a long time! Used white Nuvo drops to do the zigzag line…sort of an imitation stitching…I call it “Lazy Girl Stitches!”

Next I used a star stencil and white gesso to create my background. I sprinkled a fine white glitter over the top before the gesso dried. I did not fill every star completely because I wanted the cover to have texture. The bumps and ridges of the gesso in the

Don’t get me wrong…I LOVE IT! The stars and snowflakes blend so perfectly together, and it is so fun! Bright and bold and Bauble-y…who could want more? ME. This Girl. I wanted more. SOOO I did more. I am reminding myself constantly of why my kids call me “EXTRA”! I created clusters of snowflakes to put on the front o the journal. The colorful Pom-poms were the perfect addition to make these snowflake clusters POP!

I was pleased with how it came out.

But then I had an idea! Do you remember the Star Ornaments that I shared last week? These ornaments…

In my complete and total “EXTRA” fashion, I decided to add velcro to the backs of the ornaments so that when Christmas is over and the tree is taken down, there is a place that these ornaments belong…and NOT in the attic or basement! They need to be seen and loved…so I added them to my album!

And the Snowflake clusters were moved to the inside cover of the album…

And this was the final Result:

And THAT was the look I was hoping for!! I love it so very much! And the pages are going to be phenomenal~!I can’t wait to turn this into my December Daily~ish for this year!!
