Hello friends! Jennifer here, popping onto the blog today to share this “in the moment” slimline tab album—and I’m so excited about how it came together.
I started by choosing the perfect paper for each page, then traced, cut, and trimmed everything down with my trusty X-Acto knife. Once the pages were shaped, I inked all the edges with brown ink to give them that soft, vintage finish. For the front cover, I kept things easy and cohesive by pulling embellishments straight from the paper line, then added a touch of glam with golden pearl beads on the cover and inside front page.

Inside the album, I created photo mats using a mix of papers to spotlight those just-right photos, embellishing them with coordinating pieces from the paper pack.

On the second chipboard page, I added a brown paper photo mat and, on the reverse side, designed a fold-out that holds multiple photos or tags. Along the bottom, I tucked in a wooden window frame painted gold, then dressed it up with flowers and butterflies for a whimsical touch.

For the third page, I cut a lace doily in half, distressed it with brown ink, and turned it into a pocket along the upper portion of the page. Below that, I added a multi-opening pocket with several compartments—perfect for stashing tags, tickets from your adventures, or journaling cards.

On the back, I added two folded pages, creased at three-quarters of an inch, and attached them to the chipboard. I covered the tabs to keep everything clean and seamless, creating fold-outs ready for even more photos. On the outside of the bottom fold-out, I added another pocket to hold journaling tags or special memorabilia like tickets and keepsakes.

The fourth page features a waterfall element—great for layering photos and journaling cards—with a belly band on the back. I glued the top and bottom of a green ribbon to create the band, then added larger paper pieces and textured journaling spots. To give it a garden-inspired feel, I decorated the ribbon with tiny colored leaves and dried flowers.

On the final page, I kept it simple with a single piece of paper to showcase that last, perfect photo. To bring the whole album together, I used three book rings and dressed them up with an assortment of ribbons for extra flair.

This little album is perfect for capturing life’s most special moments—whether you’re memory-keeping, job journaling, or simply celebrating everyday magic. Thanks so much for stopping by! 💛
