Hello Friends, and Happy Thursday! I hope you all had a wonderful and blessed Easter! My kids all joined my husband and I for a very early morning worship session and breakfast at my house…and I was filled with love and joy and gratitude! They are all grown and live on their own, yet still come home for traditions that I started when they were babies. “Train your children up in the way they should go, and when they are old, they will not turn from it.” PROVERBS 22-6
Misty @mommyofkidz here to share another super fun project with you. I LOVE all things Clear Scraps, and I love finding new and interesting way to use their products! This is one that was a hit at the breakfast table this past Sunday. Each of my kids and their significant other one of these little bunny heads sitting at their spot at the table. While my original intention was for them to be drink coasters, I pivoted and turned them into wooden bunny ornaments. You’ll soon learn why!
I started with the extra Mason Jar lid circles and painted them all with the white chalk paint here. Once the paint dried, I hot glued a small rope beginning in the center and wound it all the way around to fill the entire wooden disk. This would have been the perfect drink coaster and I would have embellished the edges, etc. However, I couldn’t stop there!

I hand drew some bunny ears onto chipboard and cut them out and painted them white.
I then covered them with lace, outlined them with the rope, and then added a jute string to the insides of the ears. Just look at how adorable they turned out! The only problem, after adding the ears, the “drink coaster” would not sit flat! OH NO!!!! I could just see all the toppled drinks all over the table! NOPE! This mama ain’t having that!! They may be grown, but they are still kids at heart and I know I would have been the one cleaning it all up. Well, that was not going to deter me!

So… I pivoted and added the bows to the ones for the girls and left the “boys” just plain. However, I added a scripture to the backs of ALL of them and a bit of chunky twine to create a personalized ornament. Yes, it may be cheesy, and maybe a little “MUCH” but my kids (who are not kids anymore) have grown to expect it from me. The boys called me silly, the girls giggled and said they were cute…but they ALL kept them. I have trained them up in the way that I wanted them to go! Ha Ha Ha!!!

I hope you have enjoyed my little project and story! Thanks for stopping by to visit today, and remember… I would love to see some of your Clear Scraps Projects!!
