Hi there everyone!! Laura here with you today to share a bright and fun springtime project using the Clear Scraps Mason Jar Shiplap Shape Large!

With spring comes more sunshine, and that always makes me smile, how about you?
This cheerful home decor project started with the Shiplap Mason Jar being painted with white and blue acrylic paint. Once dry, I used the Clear Scraps 6″ Spiral stencil and ink with a soft brush to apply the “sunbursts” onto the mason jar. A good rule of thumb when you want to scatter a random pattern using stencils is to keep it to an uneven number. Three is always a great choice, but could do more if you want to.

The stencils add a nice texture and fun element to the project and help to fill up “blank space” with color and interest. A few smiley faces, enamel dots and flowers highlight these areas as well.

Another nice additional touch is to use the Clear Scraps Smile Chipboard Word Title. These chipboard titles are such a great item to have in your crafty stash! There are so many titles to choose from, including seasonal/holiday, so you can find one for just about any project you’d like! Find them HERE in the Clear Scraps Store. This one was simply painted with blue acrylic paint and added to the mason jar with a few little embellishments. A nice way to finish off this home decor piece!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope you enjoyed this little “ray of sunshine” project and found a little inspiration to create one of your own!
