Hi Everyone! It's me again, Rita 🙂
A couple of days ago I shared this layout where I used an acrylic circle and made it look like stained glass. I had several people ask how to do that so I made this quick tutorial!

I happened to use the scalloped circle frames from Clear Scraps but you can use any shape you want! First you want to trace the shape onto a paper – so you know how big your woorking surface. I only used the circle because for this project that is what I am using.
Then I made a simple drawing – you want simple, easy clean lines because this is not detail work. If you cant draw you could find a simple clip art or drawing that will fit in your space. (less is more)
Now you are going to trace over those lines with Pearl Pens by Viva. In my layout I used black, I wanted to try something different here so I used silver and blue.
This takes a bit to dry so I work on something else in the meantime.
After it is completely dry turn it over, we are going to work ont he back. What I discovered is if the right side up the light silver color changed colors with the alcohol inks.( When I use bloack I use the right side up).So get out your alcohol inks, you do not need a blending tool, we are working straight out of the bottle. Put several drops of alcohol inks onto you surface so that it puddles. Use several colors to get the dark deep color.(You can use a toothpick to move it around – you can always add more if you don't like it at first.) This will also take a little longer to dry but the color is worth it.
I used blue, yellow and red on the back…
And here is the end result! Seriously it was so easy and fun! And whats great is if you dont like the color you can wipe it off it's still wet or throw another color on top to change your look! I would love to see if you try this! If you do leave me a link of where you posted it here so I can come look!
Happy scrapping!
