Guest Designer: Bree Tetz

This post is long overdue….and our apologies to Bree for that.  We had some logistical difficulties getting things running smoothly here but…now, without further ado:

Bree Tetz of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada was our summer Guest Designer!  She made a couple of really cute projects using Clear Scraps and we're so excited to share her work with you!

Bree Tetz here. I’m so excited to be making my
first blog post for CLEAR SCRAPS. I was thrilled to be asked to represent one of
my all time favorite companys. So as soon as I got my goodies I went to work.

ACRYLIC CIRCLE CARDS

I decided to put together a couple of fairly
simple cards for you to make, using the Acrylic Circles. On this first card, I created a base with cardstock and my Cricut
Machine.I then cut out the ce
nter of the doily and adhered my circle to the inside of the front
of the card base. I love the see-through look on greeting cards. I really wanted the acrylic to be the “WOW”
factor of the card, so I added puffy pain to the front of the
acrylic. On the inside I stamped a Sentiment on another
circle of pretty paper. It’s a fairly simple card, but I think your
friends will be impressed.

Well I couldn’t stop there… I was on a roll. So I created this fun little Gold Fish Card as
well. I used cardstock and my Cricut to create the
card base. It was a groovy card shape, but Immediately I
saw a fish bowl. So I adhered another circle to the inside of th
e front of the card.. my fish bowl. I then embellished the bowl with coral, a fish
and of course a few bubbles. This is going to make a great Birthday card for
one of my kid’s friends. I hope this will help you think a little outside
of the box when using acrylic shapes.  Thanks for letting me share.

MINI BANNER “You and ME”

I really love banners! They are a huge trend right now, and I hope they
stick around for a long time.I wanted to create a mini banner for our home, in honor of our 10th Wedding Anniversary this
year.  So I created this banner using Acrylic circles
and patterned paper.

I colored the black and white paper, as well as
embossed cardstock, with Distress inks… just to add some flavor to the
elegant pap
ers. I adhered the cardstock to my acrylic circles. I added a photo to the large centre circle.(Yup, that’s me and my Hubby)  I then cut out the other banner pieces and
strung them together with tulle. I added sticker sentiments to the front of the
acrylic circles, and it was done. I have proudly hung this on my baker’s rack,
where I keep my plants. It is really a stunning focal point.

Thanks again for letting me share.
