Using Acrylic Circles

We Inspire (resize)

Hello everyone! It's Irene here again! Today, I would like to share my layout above where I've used a few Clear Scraps acrylic circles to create an interesting design on it.

In the above picture, I've embossed part of an acrylic circle using Sizzix and an embossing folder. Later, I've inked it with some solvent ink such as Tsukineko Staz On.

I've also used another acrylic circle to custom made an embellishment for the layout. Cut out part of the pattern paper and attach it to the acrylic circle from it's back. I've used some Copic markers to highlight it's edges.

Try these techniques in your next project! Have fun!

Hi, Irene! I’m very curious: is it possible make emboss in an acrylic piece without break it? It seems super cool! This layout is great, congrats!

    Hi Renata,
Yes, you can dry embossed Clear Scraps acrylic and it won’t break. Just use an embossing machine and play with the different plates that you have to adjust the thickness to get the bext embossed images.

Thank you, Irene! I have some Tim Holtz Alterations plates. Do you know if these ones work?

Yes! The Tim Holtz texture fades embossing folder would do the job. In my sample above, one of the acrylic circle is embossed using the Tim Holtz “Cracked” texture fades embossing folder with a Sizzix Big Shot. Try it!
